Bar Attendant

Situated in Karama Plaza Shopping Plaza, Karama Tavern features a family friendly bistro, a well-equipped sports bar with TAB facilities, keno, pool tables, gaming lounge and Cellabrations drive thru bottle shop.

About the Role

Preparing and serving drinks, accepting payments, maintaining the bar area, and providing excellent customer service.

Key tasks and duties include:

• pouring draft beer and wine
• mixing and garnishing cocktails
• preparing and serving coffee beverages like lattes and cappuccinos
• cleaning and maintaining bar area
• collecting and washing glasses
• taking and serving food orders
• arranging bottles and glasses to create appealing displays
• operating and assisting with Keno facilities
• completing paperwork, such as stock control logs and safety reports
• ensuring compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) laws

Qualifications and Skills

• Certificate II in Hospitality or equivalent work experience
• at least 1-year recent experience as Bar Attendant
• demonstrated experience with pouring of drinks, and customer servicing practices
• sound knowledge of workplace hygiene, work health and safety and responsible servicing of alcohol
• proven ability to operate POS systems
• ability to work as part of a team
