About
The role: B2B designer for LinkedIn Asset Toolkit + Email Headers. Freelancer only. About us: We’re a B2B company with two distinct customer types. We’re revamping our web presence with two sites (inverse hero colours, consistent typography). We don’t yet have full brand guidelines, but the style is established and you will work from these sites as the basis of your output. What we need: Create a consistent, excellent set of LinkedIn and email header assets derived from our existing website look/feel. Build a lightweight mini‑brand system (useable templates) along the way so the team can self‑serve. This is a *tactical* task and we seek a quick thinker and doer who can execute quickly post-kick-off. We do not seek multiple meetings & back-and-forth, or a consultancy-style approach. Must be lean and be proven to work quickly. Deliverables: 1. LinkedIn Asset Toolkit, e.g. (examples, non-exhaustive): - Company page banner/cover - [New & Current] Staff profile banners - Post templates, incl: single image, carousel (document), quote/insight, announcement, webinar/event, product/feature, hiring/job post, stat/metric card, testimonial - Event cover image / webinar promo 2. Email Header Suite - Transactional email headers (light/dark variants) - Sales/marketing hero headers 3. [Potentially & TBC] Mini‑Brand Kit (derived from our sites) - Colour tokens incl. inverse palettes for the two audiences - Typography usage (sizes, weights, hierarchy) - Spacing/grid, corner radius, icon style - Do’s/Don’ts and a quick usage sheet (1–2 pages) for our team members to work from 4. Source files & handover - Figma source with components, Auto‑layout, styles - Canva templates for non‑designers (team‑editable), able to be used by junior staff and interns - Exported assets (PNG/SVG/PDF) + file naming You’ll work from: Our two websites (we’ll share URLs with the appointee). Use these to derive the look/feel and keep the two‑audience colour logic (inverse hero colours, shared type). How we’ll work: - You'll be a solo freelancer only (no agencies & nobody associated with any agency pls) - Mostly async engagement after kick-off meeting; slack / email / Loom - Fast iterations on early drafts; frequent check‑ins via messages and Loom - Clear communication and assumptions written down & queried - Async by default with multiple brief touchpoints across the project Requirements: - Portfolio with LinkedIn and email design examples given as links in your approach/apply message - Strong B2B brand/UI sense; can build a tidy component‑based template system - Expert Figma & Canva user - Reliable, responsive, and able to hand over clean files Nice to have: - Experience building simple brand guidelines from a website Timeline: Ideal timeline: start immediately, and must be able to begin outputting within 24 hours of kick-off meeting. We will only pay hourly rate for this v1, as we may expand the job into other asset/media types. Don't bid an hourly rate then try to discuss fixed rate. To apply: - Must share 3 or more links to relevant LinkedIn/email work (not generic logos) - Give 2–3 sentences on your approach to building reusable templates from a website - Your hourly rate and earliest start date - Confirmation that you work solo and are not affiliated with an agency here in UW
