Le Mans Motors has been delivering quality mechanic services to Brisbane since 1974. We are experienced mechanics, providing our customers with a wide range of car services in Brisbane. As experienced Brisbane mechanics we can carry out repairs on all makes, models and types of vehicles. Our mechanics are trained to diagnose problems quickly and accurately, offering straightforward solutions and car services in Brisbane. We use modern, servicing equipment and have five workshops located conveniently across the Brisbane metropolitan area. You can find our workshops in Milton, Bulimba, Woolloongabba (Gabba), Newstead, and West End.

We are looking for an Automotive Technician to join the team! In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out vehicle diagnostics, maintenance and repair work to ensure vehicles operate safely, efficiently and in accordance with quality and compliance standards. This is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Woolloongabba, QLD.

Main tasks:

- Conduct vehicle diagnostics and maintain accurate reports.
- Complete quality maintenance services and inspect and replace vehicle components as required to ensure efficient engine operation and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Complete repair work to engines and mechanical parts including transmissions, suspension, steering and braking systems in accordance with standards and processes and as per the repair orders to Le Mans requirements.
- Dismantle and reassemble engines and parts as needed.
- Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete.
- Adhere to checklists and quality control standards.
- Work with other departments including sales and parts.
- Keep up to date with mandatory training.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:

- Minimum of a relevant Certificate III qualification plus minimum 1 year’ relevant work experience in the last 5 years; or
- 3 years’ relevant work experience may substitute the formal qualification.

Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge

- Experience working with late model European vehicles.
- Experience with vehicle diagnostics.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- The ability to prioritise and delegate work.
- Strong customer focus.
- Proven leadership experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to study and retain detailed information.
- The ability to work as part of a team which means supporting others and contributing to team discussions and improvements.
- A current Manual Australian driver’s licence.
- Organised and able to meet deadlines.

Annual salary will be between $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
