Our client, J.T.FOSSEY (SALES) PTY LTD, is a multi-franchised dealership located in Tamworth in North-West NSW. They have a busy and growing Service Department that requires qualified Automotive Mechanics/Technicians to join a team of dedicated staff.

Overview:
Diagnose and provide inspections, repairs, maintenance, and installations efficiently, safely, and according to manufacturer quality and time standards
Comply with manufacturer and dealership safety and environmental programs and practices
Report to Service Manager and Service Advisor

Your duties and responsibilities will include:
Complete service and repair of vehicles correctly to pass quality inspections
Use manuals including diagrams to complete repair orders
Use computers to access manufacturer information and carry out repair orders correctly
Accurately diagnose automotive system faults
Collect all necessary information before requesting parts
Produce accurate and clear written documentation of work carried out
Complete time clocking according to dealership requirements
Meet or exceed flat rate time allowances
Complete warranty repair orders according to dealership policy
Road test vehicles to ensure repairs are completed properly
Ensure safe working environment
Ensure the service facility is clean and organised at all times
Keep tools in good working condition
Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, and repairs on dealership tools and equipment
Contribute to department profitability while meeting or exceeding productivity and quality goals

Skills you must possess include:
Strong automotive systems knowledge
Self-starter
Ability to use diagnostic equipment
Able to prioritise tasks
Able to provide direction to Apprentices
Able to complete complex repairs
Able to identify, diagnose and repair automotive system faults

To be successful in this position you will need to hold a current NSW mechanics license, a driver license and it would be highly desirable to have completed at least five years dealership-based workshop experience.

Working rights required for this role
Expected salary: $73,150 - $78,000 per year
