Summary
Our client Deniliquin Automotive Electrical is seeking to add an Automotive Electrician to their trusted team. With over 40 years’ industry experience, they specialise in diagnostics, repairs, and servicing, using advanced technology to deliver precision and dependable service.
The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Installing and repairing wiring, alternators, starter motors, batteries, and other electrical and electronic components.
- Diagnosing and repairing faults in vehicle electrical systems, including wiring, ignition, lighting, and electronic control systems.
- Installing/repairing electrical wiring and electronic components in vehicles and machinery.
- Using diagnostic equipment and testing instruments to identify electrical and electronic faults.
- Repairing and replacing defective wiring, electrical components such as fuses, switches, and electronic units.
- Installing and testing electrical accessories such as radios, GPS, and cameras.
- Reassembling, testing, and commissioning electrical systems in vehicles to ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and safety regulations.
- Interpreting and following electrical wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Performing preventative maintenance on electrical systems to minimise breakdowns.
- Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Keeping accurate service and repair records.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic and testing equipment.
- Fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
