About
Tall Tree Early Learning is seeking an experienced Early Learning leader to join our team as an Assistant Manager. This is a wonderful opportunity to take on a leadership role within a centre that values child-led, explorative learning and places child safety and wellbeing at the forefront of everything we do. Reporting directly to the Centre Manager, you will bring strong expertise in early childhood education while supporting a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for children. You will be encouraged to develop your leadership skills in a dynamic, nature-inspired learning setting that celebrates both the growth of children and the professional development of educators.
In this role, you will lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning programs guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards. You will champion child safeguarding practices, ensuring all policies and procedures are rigorously followed. Your leadership will extend to mentoring and inspiring a team of educators, fostering a positive and collaborative culture, and ensuring high-quality care across all rooms and programs. You will engage children through developmentally appropriate experiences that encourage creativity, exploration, and curiosity, while also supporting operational tasks including compliance, rostering, bookings, and parent communication. The position also offers the opportunity to step into the Centre Manager role as needed, ensuring smooth operations and continued excellence in child safety.
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of two years’ leadership experience in an early learning or childcare setting, and an ACECQA-approved Diploma qualification or higher. A strong commitment to child safeguarding, creativity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues are essential. Current Working with Children Check, Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR, and First Aid certifications are required, along with Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting training or the willingness to obtain these.
This role offers a competitive salary between $75,000 and $82,000 per year, based on experience, along with opportunities for professional growth, leadership development, and participation in a supportive, collaborative community that values both children and educators.
If you are passionate about creating safe, inspiring, and engaging learning environments for children, and are ready to take the next step in your leadership journey, we would love to hear from you. Apply with your resume and cover letter through Seek, or contact our careers team at talent@talltree.net.au for more information.
