We are looking for a passionate, organised and service-driven Assistant Event Coordinator for a new restaurant opening in the middle of March in The Rocks.

Event Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate conferences, meetings, weddings and special events
- Helping the function manage to organise restaurant function menus and seating plans
- Oversee event execution on the day, working in partnership with the Restaurant Manager and Head Chef to ensure smooth service delivery
- Prepare and distribute event orders, function sheets and run sheets
- Maintain accurate event information within event management systems
- Conduct site inspections and assist with client meetings
- Support on-the-day event coordination to ensure seamless delivery
Client & Guest Experience
- Deliver exceptional, personalised customer service while managing online and phone booking enquiries, general enquiries, and restaurant information
- Serve as the primary point of contact for guests' questions, feedback, and concerns, ensuring all matters are resolved promptly and professionally
- Manage enquiries from new and existing clients via phone, email, and in-person consultations (on-site and off-site)
- Provide accurate, detailed information and quotations with timely follow-up to secure and confirm bookings
Team Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with the Event Manager, Restaurant Manager and Head Chef to organise daily tasks and menus
- Liaise with food & beverage, kitchen, AV and operations teams to deliver exceptional events
About You
- Previous experience in hospitality, events or customer service
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Able to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Professional presentation with high standards of personal hygiene and appearance
- Knowledge of Mac and Microsoft systems
- Experience using POS systems (preferred)
- Hold a current RSA card
- Previous experience working on the restaurant floor (highly regarded)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $58,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 38 per week
