An excellent opportunity is forthcoming for full-time Assistant Farm Hand (FLH 1) to join our family owned and operated large scale dairy operation located at Calivil, Victoria (3573). This well-established farming enterprise consists of some 3,000 acres in which all crops are harvested for feed/fodder. The herd comprises of 2800 cows, all AI bred – milking year-round in NEWLY BUILT (will be complete in May 2026) 120-unit rotary dairy parlor.
Employment Specifics:

As you will be working under the direction of the Owner & Supervisor, the successful applicant must have:

Genuine interest in the dairy industry - enjoys working with cows and outdoor environment.
Farming experience an advantage but not essential.
Ability to work with the owner and other staff members.
Excellent work and communication skills with attention to detail.
A current driver’s license and own reliable transport preferrable.
Duties will include, but not limited to:
Daily milk harvesting
Herd health / mastitis control / treatments / vaccinations
Calf rearing

We offer:
Early July start date
Full-time position
5-day weekly roster (2 days off)
Approximately 38 – 45 hours per week
Pastoral Award 2020 - Assistant Farm Hand (works under supervision). This category is for people who are involved in a general range of farming tasks and working under supervision.
Award rates - $24.28p/h (plus Overtime & Sunday Rates)
