Location: Caloundra Car Wash, Baringa.

Role Summary: The Assistant Car Wash Manager is responsible for supporting the Car Wash Manager in all day-to-day operations of the Car Wash, including - customer service, site presentation, supervision of casual staff, operational & financial performance of all on-site equipment and vending. The role also requires that you provide leadership, mentoring and training to casual employees.

Role Objectives

  • Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Car Wash
  • Assist in supervising, supporting and training casual employees to ensure effective shift operations.
  • Maintain high levels of site presentation, cleanliness, and functionality.
  • Provide excellent customer service and act as the first point of contact for minor customer queries or complaints in Managers absence.
  • Undertake routine equipment checks and promptly report faults or malfunctions.
  • Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are observed and enforced.
  • Assist in stock handling, including the safe unloading, storage, and rotation of chemicals and consumables.
  • General cleaning and maintenance of all equipment, grounds and facilities
  • Uphold Sparkletown’s 4C’s – cleanliness, customer service, consistency & community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality customer service in line with the Sparkletown 4C’s and encourage all staff to uphold to these standards.
  • Oversee and guide casual employees during shifts on Manager’s absences / RDO’s.
  • Support a positive and motivated team environment.
  • Assist in ensuring all tasks as outlined in the Task Schedule are followed and completed.
  • Carry out regular cleaning of wash bays, dog wash facilities, mud pits, bins, and landscaped areas.
  • Safely handle and manage chemical deliveries, including containers up to 25kg and use of pallet jacks.
  • Conduct routine checks of equipment, lighting, hoses, and vending facilities, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Report hazards, incidents, or equipment failures in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure appropriate use of PPE by all staff on shift.

Uniform, PPE, and access to a site-based computer. The company mobile phone may be provided when undertaking Manager role or in Manager’s absence..

Flexible for suitable candidate:
Permanent Part-Time Hours (20-30hrs/wk) or Full-Time Hours – 37.5 hours/week

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $32.00 – $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 37.5 per week
