Architectural Draftsperson
We are Mansys Pty Ltd, recruitment consultants. Our client, Bespoke Joinery, is actively looking for an Architectural Draftsperson to join its team on a full-time basis to be placed at their workshop at Prospect, NSW 2148. The business delivers custom interior joinery and cabinetry and undertakes commercial joinery and shop fit-outs, producing coordinated documentation to support compliant, buildable outcomes across Sydney, NSW.
Main Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed drafting documentation packages for residential and commercial interior fit-outs/joinery, including general arrangement plans, elevations, sections and construction details.
• Translate architectural drawings, specifications and interior design concepts into clear, coordinated CAD documentation suitable for construction and installation.
• Produce and maintain schedules and specifications (materials/finishes and hardware sets) and manage drawing registers and issue sets (e.g., tender/construction/as-built where applicable).
• Coordinate documentation with site conditions and project requirements, identifying constructability issues and resolving clashes in consultation with stakeholders.
• Ensure drawings and documentation align with relevant building codes, applicable Australian Standards, and internal drafting protocols.
• Liaise with architects, builders, certifiers, designers, project managers, estimators, suppliers and workshop teams to confirm technical requirements and approvals.
• Revise and update drawings throughout the project lifecycle as design changes occur.
• Undertake site inspections/measure-ups as required to verify dimensions and ensure accuracy prior to fabrication and installation.
• Manage revisions, mark-ups and version control, keeping documentation current throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain organised digital file structures and documentation records.
Must Have
• Diploma in Architectural Technology (or similar)
• At least 1 year of Australian experience in same/ similar field
Skills Required
• Proficiency in CAD/BIM drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
• Knowledge of building codes, NCC/BCA and Australian Standards
• Attention to detail
• Client consultation and communication skills
• Time management and multitasking abilities
Successful candidate would be paid a base salary between A$ 80,000 to 95,000 plus Superannuation.
