We have an existing house that we built 11 years ago. We are looking to make some major changes to it including the following. 1. Extra 2 bedrooms (so total of 6 bedrooms and study.) 2. Playroom/toy room. 3. A formal dining room to suit a large table either long rectangle or square to seat 20-24 people. 4. it would also be ideal to increase the size of the outdoor entertaining area if possible, to allow for a small built in kitchen with BBQ and location for a table and seating for 6-8 people. 5. Nice to have but not essential is increasing size of master room and larger study. We believe the best way to achieve this is to add a level on the house with bedrooms and a toy room on new level, then adjust some existing rooms on original level to accommodate dining room and staircase. There is obviously room to extend at ground level at the front of house and also at the rear. The critical design considerations. 1. Ensure design does not look like an add on. 2. Existing red bricks are no longer available so consider a render finish. light colouring in a french provincial/Hamptons style. We are looking for some initial idea's to get started so after 2-3 options with some floor plans and some basic renders to get this project underway.
