Your new role
As an APS5 Executive Assistant, you will provide high-level administrative and executive support to one or more senior executives. You will be responsible for managing complex diaries, coordinating travel, preparing documentation, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. This is a fast-paced role requiring discretion, initiative, and exceptional organisational skills.
Key responsibilities include:
Diary and inbox management, including scheduling meetings and prioritising tasks
Coordinating domestic and international travel arrangements
Preparing and editing correspondence, reports, and presentations
Liaising with stakeholders and maintaining professional relationships
Supporting executive meetings including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and follow-up actions
Handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Assisting with special projects and departmental initiatives
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or similar role within the APS or corporate sector
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
High level of attention to detail and time management
Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Government Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1, or NV2)
