In this role, the you are responsible for undertaking general administrative support services to meet the day-to-day needs of the legal practice groups. The Legal Support Officer will operate under general direction within a dynamic operating environment to provide a range of contemporary support services that are efficient and streamlined. They will complete allocated tasks using legal practice business systems and digital litigation tools to support the analysis, management, and presentation of large and complex cases.
Key duties:
The Legal Support Officer will be required to undertake activities including the following:
- Creation and administration of case files, photocopying, filing, data entry, and records management.
- Drafting emails, routine correspondence and documents from templates.
- Witness coordination, drafting summons/subpoenas, arranging travel and other court-related tasks.
- Preparing court materials, undertaking deliveries and collections, and lodging/filing documentation.
- Conducting basic research activities, arranging video conferencing, interpreters and translators.
- Liaising with Federal Prosecutors, external agencies, courts and counsel.
