The Applications Support Specialist (Yardi) is a key member of the Corporate Applications team and is responsible for supporting and maintaining Investment Management business applications. The role will work closely with Investment Management business operation teams to identify process improvements, making recommendations to application and business process change, while also ensuring that disaster recovery plans are in place and tested regularly (where applicable).
As Applications Support Specialist, you will work hand in hand with Corporate Applications Manager, all Business partners & customers to support applications and further improve customer experience across Investment Management business applications. You will implement any fit for purpose automation initiatives and improvements to operations and support of Investment Management business applications.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
§ Perform and Lead Day to day operations of Investment Management business applications primarily Yardi suite of Products, Deal Management System, Forbury.
§ Manage and upskill the support team in day-to-day operations related Yardi, DMS and Forbury.
§ Provide business and technical guidance to the support team ensuring stable operations.
§ Maintain the highest level of governance related to system configuration ensuring business receives expected outcome.
§ Support and Lead application upgrades & maintenance, from concept, design, development, through test, quality assurance, release, and iteration. Manage required software licensing and ensure proper compliance across the company on number of and usages of all licenses.
§ Support end-end operations of the applications for Funds, Asset, Property and Tenant Management business units of IM business.
§ Work with support team to ensure the completion of key activities such as Create and setup various components in Yardi such as Entity, rollups, AR and AP payment, report customization, workflow management and ETL uploads
§ Participate in refining existing business processes and developing new business processes to increase efficiencies, effectiveness, and productivity in IM operations and supporting activities, including reducing risk and enhancing consistency of outcomes.
§ Lead the support team technically to Manage user accounts for Yardi including creation, deletion, termination and restrictions
§ Delegate and work with the team to complete all Month end activities closing AR, AP, GL, BAS and user access verification on time.
§ Responsible for all Audit, Governance and Compliance activities including Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans
§ Ensure and review the support team can Create, edit, and maintain technical materials, including business process descriptions, standard operating procedures, training and operations manuals, and other related materials in accordance with prescribed company standards and to ensure clear communication of business processes.
§ Support all requests related to Investment Management Business applications including access management, Installations, License management, data extraction or integration, reporting requirements and administering the Business applications.
§ Lead the Service management capability for IM business including service request, incident management, problem management with root cause analysis, change management and driving service improvements
§ Partner with Technology & architecture teams, Business stakeholders, Business Partners, Corporate Applications Manager, Managed Service partners, IT specialists & cross functional teams to deliver successful application outcomes.
§ Review and document Investment Management operations business-facing application configuration. In consultation with business partners, ensure that IM operations business application acquisitions align with the goals of the business, are effectively tested and implemented, and upgrades are managed, including testing procedures and development to production migration.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications – Essential
§ Degree and / or Tertiary equivalent in IT / information systems or related field
Experience – Essential
§ 3+ years’ experience in IT applications management
§ 3+ years’ experience of application support, maintenance, disaster recovery & application availability.
§ 2+ years of experience in Yardi
§ Strong understanding of SaaS, IaaS, PaaS provisioning
§ Strong understanding of ITIL and Service Management
§ Strong understanding of Investment, retail and property management
§ Strong understanding of DevOps, release management and CICD
