Full-time continuing position Lead the University’s animal ethics operations and shape strategic research compliance Base Salary $156,227 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity As the Animal Ethics Manager, you will lead the University's animal ethics operations and ensure alignment with national and state regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in supporting research excellence and compliance across the University, working within the Research Integrity and Ethics Administration team. Your key responsibilities will be to: work closely with the Director, Research Integrity and Ethics Administration, researchers, and external regulatory bodies lead and manage the daily operations of the Ethics Office and Animal Ethics Committees provide strategic advice on animal ethics policy and infrastructure development develop and implement new policies, processes, procedures and openness for animal ethics liaise with government bodies and prepare reports on animal use and compliance contribute to training initiatives and joint projects with internal and external stakeholders About you bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of training and experience demonstrated experience managing ethics committees and administrative support in a large institution proven expertise in animal research compliance and understanding of regulatory environments experience in policy development, strategic advice, and change management strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills demonstrated leadership within complex regulatory environments involving animal research.
