Your Role at St John of God, Midland Hospital St John of God Midland Hospital are currently seeking Anaesthetic Technicians and Registered Nurses to join our Main Theatre team. Working collaboratively with Anaesthetists and the multidisciplinary theatre team, you will be responsible for all types of anaesthesia including the maintenance of associated equipment, supporting airway management and patient monitoring, and responding promptly to clinical needs. As an Anaesthetic Registered Nurse and a member of our friendly and approachable team, you will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of patient care in a safe and effective manner. As an Anaesthetic Technician you will assists the Anaesthetist, and under direction of the Clinical & Registered Nurse delivering a high-quality care for patients undergoing anaesthesia. These roles are integral to delivering safe, high-quality patient care throughout the anaesthetic and surgical journey. The Position Act as the patient advocate. Preserve patient confidentiality. Deliver competent assistance throughout the anaesthetic phase in both routine and emergency situations. Ensure patient safety throughout the anaesthetic phase, with respect to the nominated position of the patient. Participate in the daily maintenance of associated anaesthetic equipment. Contribute to the orientation and continuing learning and development of new anaesthetic caregivers and other Operating Rooms caregivers. Cooperate with preceptorship of student technicians and new caregivers. Act as an anaesthetic resource for Operating Rooms caregivers. Actively participate in internal and external learning programs. Attend training sessions offered by the Hospital. Recognise the necessity to continually develop skills and acquire additional knowledge appropriate to the position. Dress appropriate to the expectations of the specific work area and Occupational Safety and Health requirements. Position Requirements To succeed you will implement the care plan/care path as well as monitor and evaluate patient care all under the direction of a Registered Nurse, whilst having the ability to solve problems, or seek help from appropriate resources. As a Registered Anaesthetic Nurse, you will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and have recent clinical experience in an Anaesthetic speciality. You will demonstrate a commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills. As an Anaesthetic Technician you will possess a Diploma Qualification in Anaesthetic Technology, or equivalent. You will have well developed interpersonal skills and Ability to monitor and evaluate patient care under supervision. You will also work without direct supervision and in less stable conditions. We Can Offer You Registered Nurse Salary: $82,945 to $106,630 per annum, plus 12% superannuation Registered Nurse Casual rate: $52.30 to $67.24 per hour (inclusive of casual loading) plus 12% superannuation Anaesthetic Technician Salary: $79,060 to $96,514 per annum, plus 12% superannuation Anaesthetic Technician Casual rate: $49.85 to $60.85 per hour (inclusive of casual loading) plus 12% superannuation Multiple Permanent, Fixed Term, and Casual positions are available.
