The position
Dan Everson Podiatry is seeking to employ an experienced allied health receptionist to work in its Caloundra, Nambour and Maroochydore clinics. The is a casual role to cover annual leave, sick leave, additional workloads etc. The hours are 8.00am to 5.30pm. Immediate start available.

This role requires a mature confident person, with a professional approach to work, who is able to work autonomously. Your dynamic personality and compassion for patients is also well regarded. Medical or allied health experience preferred.

What the job involves
Your responsibilities will include the usual range of receptionist tasks such as welcoming patients, checking patient information and updating where required, scheduling appointments, dealing with patient enquiries in clinic, over the phone or via email, and managing billing, payments and medicare/health fund claiming.

You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all medicare, DVA, and health fund requirements for billing and reporting purposes. This is through carefully maintained records in our practice management software.

This role also offers the opportunity to make the clinic your own. Create a community with the patients and support clinic growth with internal and external marketing.

The person we are looking for
To be considered for this role, you will have:

• at least two years’ experience working as a medical or allied health receptionist;
• mature and responsible outlook, and a desire to make the role your own;
• ability to work autonomously;
• strong communication and customer service skills;
• good written communication skills;
• good computer skills (including Word, Excel, Email);
• an understanding of hygiene, cleaning and infection control measures as required in a medical setting, and especially in relation to COVID-19..
