Your Opportunity
The Mechanical Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is responsible for performing a broad range of heavy and line maintenance activities on aircraft maintained by the company whilst ensuring safe work practices.
Annual Salary AUD$100,732.84 + Super + OT + Annual Bonus.
Your Responsibilities
Provide Task Certifier level support to B Category Licensed technicians where required
Ensure that the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is carried out in accordance with Pilatus/OEM approved publications/instructions using approved parts supplied from approved sources;
Ensure that all maintenance is correctly and appropriately documented and certified
Ensure all entries and certifications for work are undertaken, completed and certified to level authorised
Ensure all data, release notes and certificates of conformance for components and parts used during servicing or maintenance are accompanying the respective work sheet/work package
Carry out inspection and maintenance co-ordination and certification
Ensure compliance with all Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins relevant to the aircraft and prior to expiry of their compliance
Support ADF operations through deploymen
Be utilized in support of scheduled and unscheduled structural maintenance within limits of granted authority
Ensure correct training and certification prior to carrying out work
Direct to the appropriate Manager/Supervisor, items that are beyond the scope of authority of the AME, as outlined in the PTS procedures, processes and policies
Assist with defect analysis and investigations and complete ‘Aircraft Malfunction Reports’, Engineering Query processes, or equivalent as required
Work with the Crew Leaders to foster a sense of ‘Safety First’ within the technical workforce and ensure all OH & S/WHS requirements are adhered to
Ensure Ground Support Equipment (GSE) is serviceable and report any defects or deficiencies with use of the established online reporting procedure
Report and raise any observations, through the appropriate process, with regard to continuous improvement, safety management and customer satisfaction
Carry out aircraft washing and associated corrosion control inspection
Carry out aircraft towing, repositioning and refuelling
Carry out flight line activities including flight servicing’s, replenishments and marshalling
Work with the Quality and Aviation Safety Manager in the maintenance of Quality and Aviation Safety responsibilities including participation in audits, technical investigations as it applies to ‘Human Factors in Maintenance’
Actively participate in the Quality and Safety Management System applications
Be dedicated to exceeding the customers’ expectations and delivering an efficient operation, whilst maintaining a safe environment
Demonstrate commitment and compliance with all applicable Company Policies and Procedures, including the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), and provide ongoing promotion of Jet Aviation values.
Positively represent Jet Aviation as one company with internal and external stakeholders.
Other duties as may be assigned to you in support of operational requirements in discussion your People Leader.
What will help you to Succeed
Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) containing suitable Units Of Competency that support tasking in a PC-21 Aircraft maintenance environment.
Demonstrated understanding of Aviation regulatory requirements for Aircraft Maintenance, both civil and military (Part 145)
Basic English language skills
Good communication skills
Ability to work under minimal supervision, as well as part of a wider team
Common courtesy and customer orientation
Ability to work flexible schedules (inclusive of deployments with aircrafts as required)
Ability to work in various weather conditions as well as meeting minimum physical requirements of the job
