On behalf of our client Northwest Air Solution, We are looking for an experienced Airconditioning and Refrigeration mechanics.

Northwest Air Solution are a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning company, and we are committed to providing professional advice, quality workmanship and excellent customer care and support.

They specialise in the installation, repair, preventative maintenance and servicing of all air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.

Key Objective of Position:

Airconditioning and Refrigeration mechanics are required in all aspects of installing, diagnosing and repairing domestic (households) and commercial (businesses) air-conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems
- Maintenance of Air Conditioning drain and soak well
- Deliver and install Portable Air Conditioners and Ice Machines as part of the companies Hire department
- Collaborate with contractors, supplies and other trads as required.
- Monitor system performance and efficiency; recommend improvements or upgrades,
- Respond to urgent breakdowns and participate in an on-call roster if required.
- Maintain workshop and office cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and safety regulations.
- Participates in meetings, workshops and trainings, as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.
- To work in places where you are exposed to dust, fumes, noise and toxic materials
- Be capable of working in confined and hot spaces like roofs and crawl ways.
- Be able to work in adverse weather and may be required to lift heavy objects, bend, kneel or stand for long stretches of time.
- Be an effective communicator and develop strong partnerships.

Occupational Safety and Health (OS&H) Responsibilities:

- Comply with all Statutory requirements.
- Take reasonable care to ensure their own safety and health whilst at work and that of others.
- Consult and cooperate with Management on matters of Occupational Safety and Health.
- Report all hazards, accidents, incidents and near misses according to the Accident/Incident Reporting process.
- Develop and follow all safe work procedures as directed by the supervisor or as otherwise directed.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Position Requirements Competencies:

- Ability to work with limited supervision and also as an effective team member.
- Ability to prioritise work and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of safe working practices and procedures in a workshop environment.

Experience:

- Previous experience in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration industry.

Qualifications:

- Current and valid WA ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence (as a minimum).
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
