We are a Mechanical Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Electrical business with over 20 years of recognized industry experience. We pride ourselves on providing excellent quality and professional service & installations in the Sydney and Metropolitan areas.
Our company installs air conditioning units and mechanical ventilation to commercial and residential properties, the majority of which are in the construction phase, as well as the maintenance of existing systems across a variety of properties in and around Sydney.
We are looking for an Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Mechanic to join our growing installation and maintenance teams.
The position is a full time position. Hours worked are generally between 7am and 3:30pm with overtime available.
About the role:
As an Air conditioning mechanic, you will be a vital part of our service and installation team, ensuring the efficient operation, installation, and maintenance of advanced air conditioning systems. Your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality workmanship will support our reputation for delivering reliable and high-standard climate control solutions across residential, commercial and industrial projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Installing split and ducted air-conditioning systems with precision, ensuring correct placement, secure connections, and compliance with safety and performance standards.
-Installing VRV and VRF systems in larger and more complex environments, coordinating with team members and following manufacturer guidelines to achieve optimal efficiency and comfort.
- Completing service and repair documentation accurately and on time, maintaining clear records that support compliance, client communication and future servicing needs.
- Reading and interpreting technical documents, instructions and drawings to ensure correct installation and servicing procedures are followed at all times.
- Attending and repairing breakdowns, diagnosing faults quickly and implementing effective solutions to restore systems to full functionality with minimal downtime.
- Carrying out preventative maintenance works, including inspections, cleaning, adjustments, and testing, to extend the life of equipment and reduce the risk of future failures.
- Undertaking domestic, commercial and industrial installation works, applying adaptable skills to meet the varied requirements of small residential systems through to large-scale industrial projects.
Skills & Experience - What we are looking for:
- Certificate III in Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration with sound knowledge of a wide range of air conditioning systems and controls.
- ARCtick licence.
- Current drivers licence.
- Valid white card.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in servicing and installing commercial and domestic air conditioning units.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
- Focus on delivering high-quality service to clients.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with customers to see the project through to completion.
- Own appropriate tools for the trade.
- High regard for safety; embrace all Safety Policies and Procedures.
- The ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team.
- The ability and desire to consistently deliver a high standard of workmanship.
- Be physically fit and able to carry out manual handling activities and be comfortable with working at heights.
- Strong attention to detail.
