Job Description:
We are seeking reliable and diligent individual to join our team as Truck Driver for a 6-9 month seasonal period.
The role involves various tasks related to the transport of potatoes from paddock to storage and includes (but is not restricted to) backing trucks in to areas, manoeuvring tight gateways, able to confidently hook up and have a can do team attitude and be willing to pitch in on other jobs on the farm as needed to get a job done. Start: On/around December 2025
Duration: Fixed seasonal term ~6-9 months, expected to finish September 2026 (subject to harvest schedule).
Hours of work: ~30-38 hrs/week over the season (casuals engaged by the shift; hours not guaranteed).
Typical shifts: 8-12 hours, early starts (about 6-7am); rostered 6-7 days Mon-Sat, occasional Sundays in peak.
Weather/crop dependent: Hours may pause or extend with harvest and storage demands.
Fatigue management: Work/rest in line with HVNL/Standard Hours; pre-start and end of shift checks required.
Superannuation: Paid in addition to wages at the statutory rate.
Pay cycle: Weekly (timesheets/driver logs required).
Location: Sassafras; movements between paddock, field bins and storage sheds.
Safety & PPE: Follow WHS, biosecurity and Chain of Responsibility requirements; PPE includes steel-cap boots, hi-vis, gloves (extra PPE supplied as needed).

Physical demands: Climbing into/out of cabs, coupling/uncoupling, tarp/net handling, repetitive sitting/standing.
Vehicles/plant: HC combinations, field loaders, weighbridges; complete daily pre-starts and defect reports.
Licences & checks: Valid HC licence; forklift desirable; medical/DA or police checks may apply.
Right to work: Must hold valid Australian work rights.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in truck roles essential
- Heavy Combination licence or willingness to obtain
- Forklift licence and experience preferred but not essential
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and sit and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Willingness to adhere to all safety and hygiene regulations
