About the Role


As an Aged Care Kitchen, Cleaning & Laundry Assistant, you will be a vital part of our services team, contributing to the daily wellbeing of our residents. In this hands-on role, you will work under the guidance of experienced staff to build your skills and knowledge in a supportive environment. Your work will help create a safe, clean, and homely space for our residents, playing a key role in their comfort and quality of life.


What You’ll Be Doing:


In this role, you will perform a range of tasks including:

  • Assisting kitchen staff with meal preparation, plating, and serving food to residents

  • Cleaning and sanitising resident rooms, bathrooms, and shared common areas to maintain hygiene and safety

  • Providing support with laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and returning personal items and linen

  • Working collaboratively with the hospitality and care teams to uphold a high standard of service and care

Skills and Experience:


To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others

  • A positive attitude and a professional, reliable approach

  • Basic computer skills for completing simple administrative tasks

The following qualifications and experience are desirable but not essential:

  • A certificate in basic food or hygiene practices

  • Previous experience in hospitality, cleaning, or aged care

  • A genuine interest in developing a career in the aged care industry
