  • About the role
  • This is an excellent opportunity to join the Regulation of Schooling Directorate at the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) as Administrative Officer. In this role, you’ll play an important part in supporting the planning and delivery of regulatory programs for schools and education providers across NSW.
  • You’ll join a collaborative team, providing essential administrative services that help ensure quality education outcomes for students, while building your skills in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for

  • Providing efficient administrative support across regulatory programs and projects, including filing, records management, preparing routine correspondence, travel bookings and maintaining procedure records.
  • Responding to telephone and email enquiries, ensuring professional and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Using NESA systems and databases to enter and check data, generate reports and certificates, and draft correspondence while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinating meetings and briefings, including booking rooms, distributing agendas and taking minutes when required.
  • Contributing as an active team member by supporting daily priorities, assisting colleagues, sharing knowledge and participating in team projects.

  • Confidence in using technology, databases, and software systems to complete tasks efficiently.
  • A proactive approach to learning and adapting processes, with the resilience to work effectively in changing circumstances.
  • Working with children check clearance for paid employment (prior to commencement, not required at the application stage)
