School of Psychology / UQ Psychology Clinic Part-time, permanent position - 15 hrs/week (4pm – 7pm, Monday to Friday) Base salary (full-time equivalent) will range from $76,025 - $80,606 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 4) Based at our St Lucia campus About This Opportunity We are seeking a personable, customer focused Administration Assistant to support the effective and efficient operation of the UQ Psychology Clinic. This is an exciting, permanent opportunity to provide exceptional administration and reception support during our evening shift from 4pm - 7pm, Monday to Friday. Reporting to the Clinic Manager, you will support the training of postgraduate psychology students and the delivery of mental health services to the wider community, working collaboratively in a well-defined team model to provide optimal service to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be independent and self-motivated, as you will often be the sole team member onsite during after-hours clinic operations. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Facilitate efficient functioning of the clinic's day to day operations, in accordance with administrative protocols and standard operating procedures. Ensure prospective and current clients are provided with accurate information regarding the clinics’ services. Provide reception services to prospective and current clients of the clinic, including managing enquiries and referrals, attending to client arrivals, scheduling client appointments and overall coordination of the client-clinic relationship. Undertake administrative quality control functions as relevant to the clinic, such as ensuring quality of data entry by students, tracking and coordination of consumables and resources and reviewing of financial information. Provide reception services at the School of Psychology Student Administration as needed, including directing student and staff enquiries. About You Our ideal candidate will possess: Completion of a diploma level qualification with relevant administrative and/or reception experience. Demonstrated experience working in a customer service position with a focus on administrative and reception responsibilities in a health care setting. Demonstrated experience in the use of computer systems and other technology relevant to the position such as the Microsoft Office suite of programs, email systems, internet-based technologies and practice management software. High level organisational skills to plan your own workload ensuring the needs of the clinic are met, whilst allowing for fluctuations in workload. Ability to work independently and flexibly as part of a wider team. Readiness to represent the School in a professional and courteous manner and according to contemporary standards of a health service in a high volume/pressure environment. Aptitude for communicating with clients and students, including people with mental health concerns, and physical or intellectual disabilities, showing appropriate levels of empathy, respect and confidentiality whilst providing a high level of customer service. Ability to work within an agreed work pattern within the hours of 4:00pm - 7:00pm, Monday to Friday. Please note, you must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply (employer-sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment). The successful candidate will also be required to complete a criminal history check and hold (or be willing to apply for) a Working with Children Blue Card.
