Location: Ashfield Office
Hours: Monday to Friday 9:30am-2:30pm
Pay: $35/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Administration Assistant to support our finance and operations team in a busy home care environment. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident using Xero, with a solid understanding of the administrative and compliance requirements in home care.
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial processing, timely invoicing, and smooth day-to-day accounts administration to support quality service delivery to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Finance Support
• Process accounts payable and receivable using Xero
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
• Prepare and issue invoices (including Support at Home participant statements)
• Assist with payroll processing and invoice reconciliation
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Support month-end and reporting processes
• Assist with participant billing in line with Support at Home requirements
• Liaise with care staff and management regarding timesheets and charges
• Maintain participant and provider records in line with privacy and compliance requirements
• Support audits and financial reporting as required
General Administration
• Data entry and document management
• Respond to internal and external enquiries related to accounts
• Provide administrative support to the wider team as needed
Qualifications & Experience
• Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
• Invoice Processing & Payment Reconciliation
• Bank Reconciliation & General Ledger Support
• Data Entry & Record Management
• Payroll Processing & Leave Tracking
• Financial Reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Xero
• Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP)
• Customer Communication & Issue Resolution
• Time Management | Attention to Detail | Problem-Solving
• Aged care, NDIS, or community services experience highly desirable
• Current National Police Check.
