The Role

We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. In this role you’ll work with a broad range of clients, preparing financial reports, managing tax compliance, and advising on smart business structures.

This isn’t just a back-office role — you’ll work closely with directors and senior accountants, gain exposure to advisory projects, and build both your technical and client service skills.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet) in accordance with relevant accounting standards.

Manage accounts receivable and payable, general ledger maintenance and reconciliations.

Assist with tax compliance (BAS, income tax returns, payroll tax, etc.).

Advise clients on business structure, tax minimisation, and financial planning.

Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.

Work with senior accountants and directors on client engagements and advisory projects.

Support audits and liaise with external auditors if required.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, tax law, and regulatory changes.

Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes and use of accounting systems/software

Selection Criteria / Skills & Experience

Completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or a relevant field.

Minimum of 1 year work experience in a public practice accounting firm.

Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax compliance obligations.

Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.

Clear communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.

Ability to manage time and meet deadlines in a professional environment.

A genuine commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.
