Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about contributing to the financial health of a growing construction business.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and refine accounting and budgeting policies to support strategic planning
• Prepare and present financial statements to management, directors, shareholders, and statutory bodies
• Conduct audits and financial investigations, including reporting on mergers, acquisitions, capital funding, fraud, insolvency, and taxation matters
• Analyse income and expenditure trends to assess operational efficiency
• Ensure financial reports are accurate and comply with statutory requirements
• Provide expert advice on taxation and financial strategies for business operations and structures
• Prepare tax returns for individuals and corporate entities
• Liaise with financial institutions and brokers to manage funding arrangements
• Implement and maintain accounting systems, including software selection and integration
• Monitor and enhance internal control systems to safeguard financial integrity
• Evaluate financial risks and cash flow implications of capital investment projects

Qualifications & Skills
• Tertiary degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
