Our ideal candidate will have relevant experience and skills in analysing and interpreting company business activity statements (BAS); preparing financial transactions, reports, and tax returns; as well as doing financial analysis and proposing and improvement projects. Task & responsibilities Month end closing Month end adjustments and accrual journals (sales rebate accrual/release, month pre-payment adjustment, MIT (Material in transit) journals, projects/general expense accruals, other reclassification journals, monthly BAS journals, other minor adjustment/accrual journals) All inter-company balance reconciliation and monthly payments allocations HQ's Credit Note/Debit Note submission (PM, Marketing, Finance) and accruals Reporting Global Service Report, inventory Aging report Other ad-hoc reports when needed Department KPI and OPEX reports Local warranty reports GL reconciliation report and individual reconciliation files Quarter end global reports (Central review packages, DL packages, IFRS 16 files) Tax Monthly BAS preparation, reconciliation, lodgments and payment Annual FBT working paper preparation Assist with yearly Income tax Payment time reporting (twice a year) Interim and Year-End auditing Preparation of all documents/samples required Inter-Company transactions Allocation and processing of payments Debit Note/Credit Note to be booked/issued Ad hoc tasks Yearly insurance working paper (Global STP and CGL) Year-end UIP files Other ad-hoc duties as and when needed Qualification & experience Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, business, mathematics, or related fields 4+ years' experience in financial accounting Experience managing tax-related responsibilities with companies based in Australia and Taiwan, with a good understanding of tax regulations in both countries Proficient financial accounting and reporting knowledge Knowledge of Windows Office is a must and experience in other system user/implementation is preferred Intermediate level Excel skills Knowledge of the Australian Credit Act and the Privacy Principles Team player and leader with ability to take ownership & lead projects Great problem-solving skills, able with the ability to initiate and improve processes Excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers at all levels Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines Ability to work with minimum supervision About Company Founded in 1976, today Acer is one of the world’s top ICT companies and has a presence in over 160 countries.
