About the Position:
The Accountant role at VHCC is pivotal in ensuring the financial integrity and sustainability of our operations, supporting our mission to deliver exceptional NDIS services. Based in Box Hill, this full-time position involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and taxation to support strategic decision-making. The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and providing advisory services, contributing directly to VHCC’s ability to empower participants and maintain its reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts to support VHCC’s operational and strategic goals.
Ensure compliance with NDIS financial guidelines and relevant Australian accounting standards.
Manage taxation obligations, including preparing and lodging tax returns.
Conduct internal audits to maintain financial integrity and identify areas for improvement.
Provide advisory services to management on financial planning and cost optimization.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely reporting to stakeholders.
Requirements:
Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications: Master’s in Banking & Finance and Bachelor of Commerce.
Experience: Minimum of one year in an accounting role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and auditing; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB).
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
