  • As the Account Technology Strategist, you are a key member of the Queensland account team supporting and leading your customers to develop strategies to address these challenges by leveraging Microsoft’s technologies, resources and broader partner ecosystem. You will be working with a virtual team of specialists focused on the Government industry, Microsoft partners, and independent software vendors.

  • Responsibilities
  • The purpose of the Account Technology Strategist is to support the digital transformation of our Government departments and agencies through the adoption of Microsoft technologies. In partnership with the Account Executive, you will set the strategy to drive your customer’s innovation agenda, ideate with them and inspire them around the possibilities that technology can provide.
  • As the Account Technology Strategist you will have the opportunity to own and strengthen executive customer relationships, work as a thought leader, create long term strategies by linking business, technology and industry needs, and orchestrate teams of technical specialists across Microsoft and our partner network to provide the right solutions to your customer.
  • You will help define the customer's technology roadmap and create an interconnected sales and technical execution plan that helps deliver on the defined initiatives that utilise exisiting Microsoft solutions adopted in their environment as well as grow in new new areas of cloud, AI and security.
  • Qualifications

There will be many opportunities for you to learn and grow into this role at Microsoft. However, to be able to best deliver on the purpose of this role, these are the core skills and experiences you should have on day one

  • 5+ years of technical sales, pre-sales, solution architect experience required.
  • Experience working with customers to drive digital transformation in a technical consulting or technical sales role. It would be valuable if this is with customers such as government departments and the utility sector, but not essential.
  • An understanding of how to build a technical strategy and roadmap, gaining executive buy in and orchestrating a team to execute against that plan. Demonstrate a technical sales function of driving new opportunities whilst balancing technical thought leadership.
  • Passion for and a knowledge of a range of technical solutions such as artificial intelligence, cyber security, cloud platforms, business applications and productivity tools.
