Working on the Operations Department

We are currently seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Account Operations Specialist to join Tangelo’s Operations team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the initial setup and ongoing support of our programs, ensuring smooth operations and cross-functional coordination. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to bring new programs to life—from benefit design to product setup—and ensure they are well-supported post-launch.

A quick heads up: This is a part-time (minimum 20 hours/week, maximum 35 hours/week), contract role covering for a team member who will be on parental leave starting in August. While benefits won’t be available during the contract period, there is potential for this to evolve into a longer-term opportunity if it’s the right fit. We’re looking for someone who’s ready to jump in now and is excited about the possibility of growing with the team.

What You’ll Get to Do

  • Report to the Head of Ops Development.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the initial operational setup of new programs, including enrollment logistics, benefit design, product/box configuration, and readiness for launch.

  • Act as a key partner in addressing and resolving grievances, rotating coverage with other team members.

  • Create clear program overviews and internal training materials to enable support and operations teams to serve members and clients effectively.

  • Act as an operational point of contact for a subset of client accounts, responding to program-specific questions, sharing updates, and offering guidance.

  • Participate in onboarding and setup of new client accounts; ensure systems are configured correctly and data is accurate and up to date.

  • Track and report on program metrics; contribute to regular reporting cycles and client-facing updates.

  • Work closely with Account Management, Customer Support, Product, and Fulfillment to ensure seamless program execution.

  • Identify and share opportunities to streamline processes, improve benefit design, and enhance the participant experience.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • 4+ years of experience in Program Operations, Account Management, or Customer Success ideally within healthcare, food delivery, or benefit administration.

  • Proven experience coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder projects.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfort working cross-functionally with teams across operations, support, and product.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to work with spreadsheets and data to identify trends and insights.

  • A collaborative, low-ego approach and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.

  • Experience with tools like Excel/Google Sheets, CRM platforms, and task/project management systems.

  • Passion for promoting health equity and making nutritious food more accessible.

Compensation Philosophy (Full-time Employees)

The compensation range listed represents the total cash value, which includes a combination of base salary and an annual bonus or variable compensation. This range does not account for equity, which is included in the overall compensation package.

Compensation estimates are based on market data about the role and level, while individual compensation offers will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

    3. Animations – person with epilepsy can stop all running animations with the click of a button. Animations controlled by the interface include videos, GIFs, and CSS flashing transitions.
    4. Content highlighting – users can choose to emphasize important elements such as links and titles. They can also choose to highlight focused or hovered elements only.
    5. Audio muting – users with hearing devices may experience headaches or other issues due to automatic audio playing. This option lets users mute the entire website instantly.
    6. Cognitive disorders – we utilize a search engine that is linked to Wikipedia and Wiktionary, allowing people with cognitive disorders to decipher meanings of phrases, initials, slang, and others.
    7. Additional functions – we provide users the option to change cursor color and size, use a printing mode, enable a virtual keyboard, and many other functions.

    Browser and assistive technology compatibility

    We aim to support the widest array of browsers and assistive technologies as possible, so our users can choose the best fitting tools for them, with as few limitations as possible.
