Randstad is proud to partner with a leading State Government Body and seeking a strategic, politically savvy Stakeholder Engagement Advisor to join their Brisbane-based team.

The Offer

• Pay Rate: $75.00 – $85.00 per hour + Super
• Location: Brisbane CBD
• Contract Length: 6-month initial contract with high likelihood of extension
• Work Layout: Flexible hybrid options available

Your Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Engagement Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive stakeholder engagement plans for major projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and government policy.
2. Political & Ministerial Liaison: Manage high-interest projects with frequent ministerial reporting requirements. Draft high-quality briefing notes, ministerial correspondence, and project updates.
3. Community Consultation: Lead face-to-face and digital consultation sessions with local communities and industry operators to mitigate project risks and build social license.
4. Risk Management: Identify emerging issues and reputational risks early. Develop mitigation strategies to handle "medium-risk" project sensitivities, particularly around environmental and access concerns.
5. IAP2 Implementation: Apply the IAP2 Spectrum of Public Participation to determine the appropriate level of engagement for various project phases, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this application, you will need to demonstrate:

1. Proven Experience: A background in stakeholder engagement, communications, or corporate affairs, ideally within a Government and infrastructure space.
2. Exceptional Writing: The ability to distill complex technical data into clear, concise Ministerial briefings and community newsletters.
3. Conflict Resolution: Experience facilitating difficult conversations and managing expectations with diverse community groups.
4. Strategic Thinking: A solid understanding of the IAP2 framework and how to apply it to achieve measurable project outcomes.
5. Adaptability: The "soft skills" to move seamlessly from a boardroom presentation to a face-to-face meeting on-site.
